Home decor lighting trends

Home decor trends come and go, with some never seeming to go away. But just as fashion changes with the seasons, so do interior design trends in home decor. We’re going to help you light up your life with this look into current and future lighting trends for 2020.

LED wall fixtures

LED wall fixtures are a great way to add a little extra light without having to drench your room in overhead bulbs. These can be used for lighting up the hallway or as accent lights, so you can highlight a specific piece of furniture. Modern LED wall fixtures come in a variety of styles and shapes, including sconces, lamps and lanterns that can be mounted on the walls or hung from the ceiling.

Pendants

Pendants are a great option for dining rooms and kitchens, since they can be placed above a table or island. Pendants come in a wide range of styles and materials, so you can choose the one that best fits the look you’re going for. Some of them have metal frames, while others are made up entirely of glass or other clear materials.

If your ceiling is at least 9 feet tall (or 2 meters), pendants will probably be an ideal choice for lighting your room. When hanging pendant lights high above your head like this, it helps to keep them spaced out so they don't feel overwhelming—you should leave at least 6 feet (2 meters) between each one to avoid crowding.

Smart home technology, smart lights

Smart home technology is a growing trend in the home décor industry. Smart lights are connected to the internet and are controlled by your smartphone, tablet or computer. They can be set to turn on/off automatically, such as when you arrive home or leave work. You can also set schedules so that they always turn off at night or during certain times of day. Some smart lights have additional features like dimming capabilities and color changes based on what time of day it is or whether there's natural light available for viewing

Chandeliers

If you're looking for a classic home decor item that will add light to any room, look no further than chandeliers. These fixtures can be used in a variety of styles, from traditional to modern and everything in between. They come in all sorts of sizes and even come with different shapes (round, square, oval). If you have a high ceiling or even a low ceiling—or if you're just looking for something beautiful—chandelier lighting is likely an option worth considering when redesigning your home's lighting scheme.

Wall Sconces

A wall sconce is a light fixture that is mounted on the wall. It can be used in pairs, or as a single piece. Wall sconces are often used to highlight artwork or a piece of furniture, but they can also create a focal point in the room.

Candle Lanterns and Hurricane Lamps

Candle lanterns are a great way to add a warm glow to your home. They're made from glass, which allows light to shine through the sides and top. The glass itself is usually frosted or clear, with thin wire mesh around the top edge that keeps insects out of your candle's flame zone.

Candle lanterns can be used for outdoor lighting, decorating and even weddings! Some people love using them as homemade centerpieces at parties—and they're often used in weddings (especially ones with an autumnal theme). Candles can also be placed inside hurricane lamps for table settings instead; these options will give you more room on your table without taking up too much space or being too heavy in case they get knocked over accidentally!

Drum Shades and Paper Globes

Paper globes are a great option for rooms with high ceilings. This style is also a great fit for rooms with windows. The natural light will shine through the paper and brighten up the room.

Paper globs can be made from any material, but they often come in shades of white or silver and hang from a chain or rope that hangs down to the floor.

Home lighting trends are going to brighten your day.

You’ve seen it on the runway, and now you can have it in your home.

Lighting fixtures are getting more creative. The good news: they’re not just for the rich and famous anymore.

Lighting fixtures are getting more colorful. Lightbulbs are no longer just white (or maybe yellowish). Now they come in a variety of colors that add interest to any space, and aren’t limited to garish neon hues or gaudy disco balls!

Lighting fixtures are getting more stylish. No longer do you have to settle for boring ceiling lights—you can hang something fun from the ceiling! Or add some flair with a pendant light over your dining table or kitchen island! Be inspired by Tiffany & Co., who created their iconic glass lamps from cutout pieces of stained glass set into metal frames (they were even designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany himself). They may look pretty but don't forget: these were also designed with function in mind - as lighting sources too weakly colored would be hard on the eyes when reading fine print under them...
